The Shape Academy – this name not only stands for a professional crew, but also for an elite cadre factory in the snow business. Since 2014, the Shape Academy offers a training concept that provides winter sports enthusiasts with the chance to turn their passion into profession. 265 motivated members and instructors from 22 different countries form the team, which makes the Shape Academy the biggest institution for snow construction worldwide. Altogether, these crew members managed to build 115 snow facilities in five different countries, including all 54 Funslopes. Through professional shaping on a daily basis, sportsmen and -women of all levels have the possibility to experience fun moments on the mountain.

What may sound like an unachievable dream is the daily routine for Shape Academy members: They are the first ones on the top of the mountain in the morning, enjoying nature and pursuing a varied job every day. They create Funslopes at the highest quality standards. Newcomers take their first steps in the shaping business as a shaper . Whoever thinks that he or she is able to manage whole Funslope and the people working in it, applies as project manager, who is fully responsible for their crew and the project itself.

Shape Academy members who already gathered experience in a cockpit of a snowcat also get the chance to take their grooming skills to the next level by shaping snow facilities with the precision of heavy machinery. The technical director is responsible for several projects in one region; the main remits of this leading position are the safety issues and the constant development of every project on the mountain.
